Sescom LN2MIC-ZMH4-MON 3.5mm Line to Mic 25dB Attenuation Cable for Zoom H4N with Headphone Monitoring Jack

Sescom LN2MIC-ZMH4-MON 3.5mm Line to Mic 25dB Attenuation Cable for Zoom H4N with Headphone Monitoring Jack Review

Sescom LN2MIC-ZMH4-MON 3.5mm Line to Mic 25dB Attenuation Cable for Zoom H4N with Headphone Monitoring Jack Feature

  • Audio Input Level: -10dBV (0.25pp - 0.47pp) Prosumer Line Level
  • Input Impedance: 1.5K ohms
  • Audio Output Level: Approx. 14mV
  • Output Impedance: 92 ohms
The Sescom LN2MIC-ZMH4-MON cable is designed for portable digital audio recorders and mic preamps with a single output jack. This jack is typically used for headphone monitoring or connecting to a DSLR audio input for recording. The LN2MIC-ZMH4-MON Y-Splitter cable allows you to do both monitoring and recording from a single output jack. It also features a -25dB L Pad attenuator on both audio channels to reduce the Prosumer Line Level output (-10dBV) to your camera's mic input sweet spot level. It's the perfect mating cable for Zoom H4N recorders when connecting to Canon D5 MkII but also works great for other similar mic preamps and DSLR cameras that require 25db of attenuation. The cable is designed with the proper impedances to assure maximum voltage transfer and low noise operation. The cable shield is isolated on the camera end to prevent shield noise from directly coupling into the camera connector ground. The cable allows users to go directly from the audio recorder into the camera and also monitor with headphones, creating a compact and elegant interface solution. All resistors values are 1% metal film to assure similar voltage attenuation between the stereo inputs. Cable ends are labeled for proper connection.

ART HeadTap Headphone Tap

ART HeadTap Headphone Tap Review

ART HeadTap Headphone Tap Feature

  • Passive operationConnects to PA or monitor amplifierVolume control regulates headphone output Internal resistors protect the phonesProtects the amplifier low impedance loadsConnects to headphone amps to provide extra monitoring capability in studios
The ART HeadTap Headphone Tap is a passive device with an input to connect the PA or monitor amplifier and an output to connect your headphones. Sometimes floor monitors are a problem. There isn't enough room for them onstage or someone sits in and can't hear the monitors, or the drummer can't hear them well enough. Or perhaps it's a pickup gig or a rehearsal and you didn't have enough time to set them up. In any case, sometimes it's preferable to just to put on headphones and somehow connect them to the PA. That's where a headphone tap comes in. A volume control regulates the headphone output and internal resistors keep the unit's impedance high enough to protect the phones. It also protects the amplifier from encountering too low a load impedance while powering tap units, the speaker system, or several tap units by themselves. The HeadTAP will also work with a stereo headphone amplifier for use in recording situations when you want to add headphones for additional performers.

NuForce Icon Mobile headphone amplifier and USB DAC (black color)

NuForce Icon Mobile headphone amplifier and USB DAC (black color) Review

NuForce Icon Mobile headphone amplifier and USB DAC (black color) Feature

  • Two headphone/line outputs: a 3.5mm 4-pin mini stereo (with mic) jack and a 3.5mm 3-pin mini stereo jack.
  • A 3.5mm mini stereo external input.
  • A Gain Select switch provides compatibility for a wide range of headphones and earphones.
  • A high-quality rotary volume pot for maximizing USB and iPod signal-to-noise ratios.
  • A built-in, rechargeable Lithium Ion battery with USB featuring a 2.5 hour charge-time for 13 hours of continuous playback at maximum power.
The Nuforce Icon Mobile, along with its accessories, allows the user to obtain better sound quality from mobile music players, smart phones and personal computers. The Icon Mobile also serves as a rechargeable, high-performance headphone amplifier with adjustable gain or stand-alone USB DAC with support for Skype, Messenger or similar microphones. Desktop Applications: 1. Connected to a computer via USB, the Icon Mobile can drive a pair of active, i.e., powered, speakers. 2. The external 3.5mm stereo input, when inserted, takes precedence over the USB DAC. This function allows the user to listen to music from sources such as an iPod without having to disconnect the Icon Mobile from the computer. Mobile Applications: 1. Due to cost constrains or power consumption considerations, mobile devices such as an iPod or smart phone do not incorporate high-performance headphone amplifiers. The Icon Mobile's optional iPod connector permits the user to bypass the iPod's volume control. The compact, lightweight Icon Mobile, which can drive a variety of headphones, connects to these devices via 3.5mm stereo input.
